Rabbi Shmuly & Zeldy Engel

Rabbi Shmuly Engel

Rabbi Shmuly was born in Denver. His parents Rabbi Yisroel and Leah Engel, Chabad of Colorado, instilled in him a love of the Torah and Mitzvos. Shmuly left home at the age of 15 to continue his Yeshiva education in Chicago, Toronto and New York. Deciding to pursue his love for studying the Talmud, Shmuly went as a Rabbinical student to Caracas, Venezuela where he received his Rabbinic Ordination . He is known for his care and concern for his fellow man. He has serviced Jewish communities around the world, mentoring high school teens in Zefat,Israel and advancing Jewish life in places as far away as Maracaibo, Hawaii and Caracas. He is excited about this new endeavor of building a thriving Jewish community inspired by the wonders of Torah.

Mrs. Zeldy Engel

Mrs Zeldy Engel was born in Brooklyn, NY. She loves to connect with people and to use her various creative skills to help others. Zeldy studied in Tzfat, Israel for two years and graduated from Beit Chana Teaching Seminary. She has a great love for the land of Israel and even more so for the Jewish people. Inspired by an inner motivation to make a difference in the world, she traveled to volunteer in youth education programs in Donetsk,Ukraine, Morocco, Istanbul, California, and Missourri. Wise beyond her years in parenting and family matters, the young mother of baby Sara has mentored others to find happiness and fulfillment in their lives. Her passion for education led her to become a Jewish studies teacher at Beth Rivkah Schools. Ready to take on new challenges, she hopes to bring her expertise to the Denver community with innovative programming and classes.
